Following up his genre-bending 2022 horror debut Barbarian, writer/director Zach Cregger returns with Weapons, which traces the fallout of a horrific disappearance in a small town. Cregger – as well as cast members Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, and Josh Brolin – explains how he crafted the interweaving narrative, which gives each character’s perspective a unique role in unraveling the mystery, and how he chose to represent their subconscious minds during the film’s surreal nightmare sequences.
