This is the first game of the Urkiola Trilogy, Gaueko’s Awakening. It is a horror/suspense and survival game, which mixes aspects of the present with legends and characters from Basque mythology, to enjoy on your ZX Spectrum.
It’s Christmas night when our protagonist wakes up in the icy stillness of his home, only to discover that his family has disappeared without a trace. Everything points to a dark family secret, a mystery that he ignores but that carries an immense weight: the responsibility to protect not only his life, but the fate of others.
As the night wears on, the shadows of his own lineage begin to reveal themselves alongside truths that will test his wits and will to survive. As dark beings from ancient legends break into the building, he must uncover the secret hidden within the walls, make it out alive, and save those he may still encounter along his way. A challenge that could change everything.
