Stellar Blade Developer Buys Resident Evil Creator’s New Studio – IGN Daily Fix
In today’s Daily Fix: ShiftUp, the publisher and developer behind 2024’s hit action game, Stellar Blade, has purchased Shinji Mikami’s Unbound game studio. Mikami is best known for directing the original Resident Evil and its remake, along with producing several sequels, working on Dino Crisis, and the Devil May Cry series, among others. Unbound is currently working on a game that is "fairly large," and is confident it will be a "masterpiece of a game." In other news, Crimson Desert launched two weeks ago to decent reviews, but after several major updates, user reviews and sales have skyrocketed. The game has now moved around 4 million copies since its debut. And finally, Jack Black has teased another Super Mario movie, this third one possibly bowing in 2029.
