Star Carrier Ruffian was developed as a project for study purposes, but turned into a full game – It is heavily based on BattleStar Galactica, from where it took its visual similarities, and as such it can be called a Fan Based game. However the game only uses similarities on design (if we can consider any on the low resolution, low color ZX Spectrum), because all terms protected by copyright were not used. All artwork was made based on fanbase art.
It was released by Mário Ferreira in 2025.
