STALKER -=Classic Gaming=- Walkthrough, ZX Spectrum

This game is based on the science fiction novel by the Strugatsky brothers called Picnic by the Road. The story revolves around a zone that was created near the city by the impact of some kind of alien body. It is not clear whether it was the impact of a crashed spacecraft or a strange meteorite, but the idea is that it is the remains of an alien civilization that organized a kind of picnic by the road (hence the name of the book), and left a pretty decent mess after its fun. A group of people (stalkers) who illegally enter the zone and take things out of it on their own are interested in the phenomena and objects in the zone.

You are one of such people, your task is to penetrate the zone, collect the objects found there, which you can then cash in at a local dealer. With the money you earn, you need to buy better equipment that will make your stay in the zone easier. First, you need to get pliers, which you can use to cut the fence surrounding the entire area. Then there is a hammer, which you can use to break the glass plates that stand in your way. Protective footwear will allow you to enter areas that are otherwise inaccessible. An item bag is also a must-have, because without it you can only carry two items. And most importantly, the Indicator, which detects fields in your immediate vicinity, which you will die immediately if you step on. These fields can also be detected by throwing nuts in front of you, if a sound signal sounds, it means that you can’t move forward. The main goal of the game is to get the most valuable item in the zone, namely the so-called Golden Ball.
