Nintendo Responds to Dispatch Censorship Controversy – IGN Daily Fix
In today’s Daily Fix: Nintendo has responded to the censorship controversy surrounding the Switch port of AdHoc’s Dispatch. The Switch version has its nudity and sexual content censored, while the PS5 and Steam versions allow you to toggle the censorship. According to Nintendo, while all games on Nintendo platforms need to meet certain guidelines, they don’t dictate to the developers how changes need to be made. In other news, Amazon’s God of War series has cast Mandy Patinkin as Odin. Patinkin is probably best known as Inigo Montoya from the 80s classic, The Princess Bride, but has also done acclaimed work on shows such as Homeland, and Criminal Minds. And finally, the very long-in-development Beyond Good & Evil 2 is apparently still chugging along at Ubisoft, despite the company’s recent layoffs and restructuring.
