Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway The Sorcery of Nymph Circe – Exclusive Teaser Trailer
The battle for the fate of the Universal Century (U.C.) continues as Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway The Sorcery of Nymph Circe arrives in U.S. theaters Friday, May 15. The latest film adaptation of the trilogy will debut nationwide following its release in Japan earlier this year, where it outperformed its predecessor, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, grossing approximately 2.4 billion yen ($15,064,778 USD) in comparison to the first film’s 2.23 billion yen ($14,437,079 USD) Japan box office performance.
Directed by Shukou Murase, the animation is produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks’ Sunrise Animation Studios and features the powerful voice performance of Kensho Ono as Hathaway Noa. Delivering breathtaking mobile suit battles, emotional depth, and stunning animation, the film builds on the cinematic journey of Hathaway, who leads the resistance movement MAFTY against a corrupt Earth Federation. Faced between duty and the remnants of his past, Hathaway must prepare for battle against the Adelaide Conference.
The year is U.C.0105, twelve years after Char’s Rebellion. "MAFTY" has begun resisting the Federation government’s tyrannical rule by assassinating its ministers. Its leader is actually Hathaway Noa, the son of Bright Noa, who fought in the One Year War alongside Amuro Ray.
Haunted by past trauma, Hathaway is drawn to a mysterious girl named Gigi Andalucia, whose strange powers stir memories within him. While swayed by her cryptic words, he continues preparing for MAFTY’s mission — the attack on the Adelaide Conference.
Kenneth Sleg of the Earth Federation Forces prepares a defense operation for the Adelaide Conference and a plan to eliminate MAFTY and is approached by Handley Yoxon of the Criminal Police Organization with a secret proposal. As Hathaway and Kenneth pursue their respective goals, Gigi also sets off for Hong Kong to fulfill her own role.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway The Sorcery of Nymph Circe – Exclusive Teaser Trailer
In the evolving cosmos of Mobile Suit Gundam, anticipation often rides the whisper of a single frame. The latest exclusive teaser trailer for Hathaway’s latest arc, The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, marks a bold pivot in tone, momentum, and thematic scope. From the first cut, the trailer foregrounds a more shadowed, morally intricate landscape where political intrigue meets personal conflict, inviting longtime fans and newcomers alike to lean in for what promises to be a defining chapter.
Visuals and pacing communicate a deliberate shift. The animation quality carries the weight of a cinematic ambition, with crisp mechanized design that sits comfortably alongside intimate close-ups. The sorcery reference, rather than signaling a departure from Gundam’s core aesthetic, intertwines with the franchise’s signature mecha spectacle to suggest a world where power operates through both technology and influence—where charisma, strategy, and perception can alter the battlefield as surely as beam sabers and mobile suits.
Character dynamics emerge as a central thread in the teaser. Hathaway’s presence remains a fulcrum of moral complexity, his alliances and motivations examined through a lens that emphasizes restraint and calculated risk. Nymph Circe, as introduced in the teaser, appears not merely as a new opponent or ally but as a catalytic force—someone who reframes the stakes and challenges the protagonist’s established worldview. The interplay hints at themes of control, deception, and awakening agency in a narrative that refuses simple binaries.
The teaser’s sound design amplifies the emotional undercurrent. Subtle motifs weave through dialogue and score, underscoring an atmosphere where uncertainty governs action. The musical cues suggest tension that could escalate into high-stakes confrontation, while maintaining the franchise’s tradition of nuanced storytelling over bombastic spectacle.
From a narrative perspective, The Sorcery of Nymph Circe seems poised to deepen the franchise’s exploration of post-war rebuilding, the burdens of leadership, and the moral compromises embedded in political machinations. The teaser implies that battles will unfold not only in open skies but within the margins of power—where information, influence, and reputation become critical weapons.
As fans dissect the teaser, several questions emerge: How will Circe’s sorcery manifest—literal or metaphorical? What is Hathaway’s evolving stance on loyalties and justice? And what new alliances will reshape the balance of power in this rapidly expanding Gundam universe?
The exclusive teaser trailer serves as a compelling invitation to witness the shift in narrative tension and aesthetic ambition. It signals that Hathaway’s journey continues to confront complexity with measured intellect, while the introduction of Circe promises a narrative orbit that could redefine alliances and outcomes across the series. For those tracking every frame and line of dialogue, this trailer is not merely a tease of events to come; it is a carefully staged entry into a broader conversation about power, perception, and the costs of leadership in a world where every choice reverberates beyond the battlefield.
In short, The Sorcery of Nymph Circe arrives as a strategic crescendo within the Gundam saga: a teaser that promises depth, daring, and a renewed sense of wonder as the series navigates uncharted moral and cinematic terrain.
