How Markiplier Is Trying To Break The Video Game Movie Mold with Iron Lung
Markiplier played Iron Lung, an indie horror game developed by David Szymanski, on stream in 2022, leading to a years-long journey to bring the game to big screen with help from his legion of fans who’ve petitioned theaters to book screenings of the film. Mark sits down with IGN to discuss his collaboration with Szymanski, how a cult 90s sci-fi horror hit inspired his approach, and the perspective he’s gained on not just making movies, but about the state of video game adaptations as a whole.
Iron Lung is in theaters January 30th, 2026.
