Watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine Streaming on Peacock.
Synopsis: From Emmy Award®-winning writer/producers Dan Goor and Michael Schur (Parks and Recreation), starring Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award winner Andy Samberg (Saturday Night Live) and Emmy Award® winner Andre Braugher (Men of a Certain Age, Homicide: Life on the Street), the Golden Globe® Award-winning Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a single-camera ensemble comedy about what happens when a talented, but carefree, detective gets a new captain with a lot to prove. Detective Jake Peralta (Samberg) is a good enough cop that he’s never had to work that hard or follow the rules too closely. Perhaps because he has the best arrest record among his colleagues, he’s been enabled – if not indulged – throughout his entire career. That is, until the precinct gets a new commanding officer, Captain Ray Holt (Braugher), who reminds this hotshot cop to respect the badge.

Feels like just yesterday 🥹 #NBC100 #B99 #AndySamberg #AmySantiago
Time has a way of distilling moments into crisp, lasting memories. On chats and timelines, the phrase “feels like just yesterday” often accompanies clips, captions, and reactions that remind us how quickly a show can become woven into the fabric of our daily lives. When a beloved program reaches a milestone, it’s not just about watch counts or awards; it’s about the conversations that spring up around it—the inside jokes, the character quirks, and the ensemble performances that left an imprint on fans.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine has stood out as a prime example of how comedy can be both witty and warm, playful yet poignant. The dynamic between detectives Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago, along with the steady leadership of Captain Holt, the practical humor of Charles Boyle, the deadpan clarity of Rosa Diaz, and the sharp observations of Terry Jeffords, created a microcosm where humor and humanity intersected. Moments that once aired weekly on NBC now echo through social feeds as fans revisit favorite scenes and lines, often accompanied by hashtags that signal a collective memory: #NBC100, #B99, #AndySamberg, and #AmySantiago.
These hashtags do more than trend; they map a journey. #NBC100 marks a century of programming that has shaped broadcast television, a reminder that streaming did not erase the cultural rituals surrounding a network’s lineup. #B99 functions as a shorthand for a shared universe where jokes land with surgical precision, and where the precinct’s quirks become a mirror for workplace dynamics. #AndySamberg and #AmySantiago anchor the conversation in character-driven admiration: Samberg’s Peralta delivering bravado with a wink, and Melissa Fumero’s Santiago elevating ambition, competence, and heart in equal measure.
As fans, we find ourselves revisiting episodes not merely to relive the laughs, but to reconnect with the values that the show consistently highlighted: teamwork, integrity, and the importance of believing in one another, even when the stakes are low-stakes or absurdly high. The humor often serves as a bridge—softening tough topics, easing tension, and inviting a broader audience into conversations about identity, leadership, and mentorship.
In today’s digital landscape, those conversations extend beyond the half-hour. Clips, memes, and think-piece analyses proliferate across platforms, turning single scenes into shared rituals. They invite new viewers to discover the show’s warmth and wit, while longtime fans sharpen their appreciation for the craft—storytelling that balances quick-fire punchlines with well-timed pauses, and performances that capture genuine camaraderie beneath the laughter.
If there’s a takeaway from this moment of retrospective celebration, it’s that good television becomes part of the cultural dialogue. We quote lines, we reference episodes, and we use hashtags to signal that we’re in on the joke together. Whether you’re revisiting a classic season, discovering a favorite character’s arc for the first time, or simply savoring the comfort of a well-written ensemble, the sentiment remains the same: these stories endure because they celebrate people—quirks, ambitions, and all—and remind us that, at its best, a show can feel like coming home after a long day.
So here’s to the fans who keep the conversation alive, to the creators who gave us rich, memorable characters, and to the moments that make us say, “feels like just yesterday.” The tapestry of NBC’s programming and Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s distinctive blend of humor and heart continues to be a touchstone for many, inviting us to relive, reflect, and rejoice in the enduring power of shared television memories.
