Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 mode is a limited-time game variant that expands the traditional 1v4 setup to feature two Killers facing off against eight Survivors. This mode introduces new mechanics, classes, and gameplay dynamics, offering a fresh and chaotic experience.
🔧 Core Gameplay Changes
Team Composition: Matches consist of 2 Killers and 8 Survivors.

Objectives: Survivors must repair 8 out of 13 generators to power the exit gates.

Cage System: Instead of hooks, downed Survivors are sent to Cages of Corruption. After three cage states, a Survivor is sacrificed.

No Perks: Traditional perks are disabled. Instead, players select from predefined classes with unique abilities.
Medic: Enhances healing capabilities and can boost nearby Survivors’ healing speed.

Scout: Provides information by revealing Killer auras and can move silently when injured.

Guide: Focuses on generator repair efficiency and can boost teammates’ repair speeds.

Escapist: Excels at evasion, with abilities like shared sprint bursts and faster movement when injured.

The 2v8 mode features expanded versions of existing maps to accommodate the increased player count. Notable maps include MacMillan Estate, Autohaven Wreckers, Coldwind Farm, Red Forest, and Crotus Penn Asylum.
