Borderlands 4: How to Start the Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned DLC
The wait is finally over: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned has officially arrived in Borderlands 4! This massive new expansion brings a hoard of new weapons, high-stakes missions, and the debut of the newest Vault Hunter, C4SH. Whether you’re looking to reunite with Mad Ellie using your endgame build or you want to see if C4SH is your new main, we’ve got you covered on how to jump into the chaos immediately.
In this Borderlands 4 guide, we break down the exact requirements needed to access the Vault of the Damned. We’ll show you which mission you need to complete first, where to find the "An Invitation" quest on the Dissected Plateau, and how to use the Level 13 skip to start a brand-new character—including C4SH—straight from the main menu. If you’re skipping the early game, we also highlight how to catch up on the story so you don’t miss a beat of the BL4 narrative.
