Beneath – 27 Minutes of Gameplay

Check out 27 minutes of gameplay from Beneath, the sub-aquatic survival horror FPS from developer Camel 101 that melds creepy Lovecraftian creature design with F.E.A.R.-inspired shooting.

This gameplay sequence takes place about a quarter of the way into Beneath’s story, placing the player into the shoes of seasoned diver Noah Quinn.

What should have been a simple salvage job off the coast of Portugal turns into a nightmare when a sudden storm approaches and a mysterious creature attacks the ship – mutating hiscrew. With his daughter badly injured, Noah radios for help, only for the arriving helicopter to start firing on the vessel and an inconceivably large beast from the depths lays waste to both vehicles.

After hours of floating on debris, he discovers an odd surface station in the middle of the ocean where he finds daughter unconscious and infected with a strange disease.

Beneath is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Release date TBC.
