Backyard Sports: The Animated Special features the voice talents of Tiffany Haddish as Kiesha Phillips, Chris Mintz-Plasse as Dmitri Petrovich, Donald Faison as Dante Robinson, and Ego Nwodim as Stephanie “Bubbles” Morgan and Jocinda Smith. They are joined by Ashleigh Crystal Hairson as Sunny Day, Adam Pally as Pete Wheeler, Utkarsh Ambudkar as Achmed Khan, Arturo Castro as Pablo Sanchez, Deborah Baker Jr as Kimmy, Michael Vlamis as Tony Delvecchio, and Lindsay Barnett, CEO of Playground Productions, as Vinnie and the Webber Twins.

Reimagined as a high-energy animated event, “Backyard Sports” returns as superstar Stephanie “Bubbles” Morgan is in crisis after losing her gotta-have-it, never-play-without-it lucky bubble gum. With just 30 minutes until game time, the Backyard kids embark on a wild, time-sensitive mission to track it down and save their season. Fan-favorite characters including Pablo Sanchez, Kiesha Phillips, Achmed Khan, Stephanie Morgan, and more of the Backyard crew return with updated animation, classic humor, and the same charm from the original games.

The special is executive produced by Chris Waters, Lindsay Barnett, Avi Savitski, and Ari Pinchot, with Phil Crain serving as Line Producer. It is written by Joe Purdy (“Hey Arnold!”) and directed by Mike Roberts (“Final Space,” “BoJack Horseman”). Animation production is handled by Lighthouse Studios (“Bob’s Burgers The Movie,” “Rick and Morty,” “The Cuphead Show”) and with original music by Jonny Shorr.
