LITTLE JOHN CAN’T JUMP (2025) ZX Spectrum

A prequel to the (currently unreleased) game, John Can’t Jump. Little John sees a smaller, younger John make his way through 20 platforming levels. Except, John just keeps on walking. He is good at falling. He is good at climbing ladders. But jumping? Little John just cannot jump.

It wouldn’t be a problem but there seem to be angry red robots around; and Little John has lost his green key to the green door. Also someone has left some spikey bomb things around.

Fortunately you’re around, and have a bag of tricks. Ladders (which Little John will climb), Shovels (which you can use to destroy bricks which block Little John’s way), Bricks (which you can use to block Little John (or the robots)), Spikey mines (which will destroy robots (and Little John if he walks onto them)) and sleeping powder (Which will send Little John (or the Robots) to sleep).

Sounds easy? It probably is.

Pick from three different Speeds; Slower, Normal and Fastest. The quicker you go, the more difficult it gets (but you will get a bonus for each level you complete).

Can you guide Little John through all 20 green doors and home safe and sound?
