"Fields of Mistria is the most fun I’ve had playing a farming sim since Rune Factory 4, which was the last time I remember villagers having as detailed personal lives as they do in Mistria. The level of care that NPC Studio has put into its characters and the moments that make Mistria feel like a lived-in town is vast, and I was consistently surprised throughout my 80-plus hours with how they made everyday life and its interactions undeniably charming. Minor shortcomings like interactions in the relationship process not being as fleshed out don’t overshadow what it does so well. It also gives you the reins to min-max your farm, decorate, and collect to your heart’s content with few restrictions, and makes sure you don’t have that nagging feeling like you’re falling behind if you decide to focus on one thing at a time. I can only look forward to NPC Studio’s future additions, but as it stands, Mistria already has my heart."
