HELLDIVERS 2 – Meet the TD-110 MAELSTROM tank
In the evolving battlefields of HELLDIVERS 2, the TD-110 MAELSTROM tank stands out as a pinnacle of frontline resilience and strategic versatility. Built to endure the harshest engagements while delivering authoritative, game-changing support, the MAELSTROM embodies a philosophy of heavy firepower paired with calculated mobility.
Design and role The MAELSTROM is purpose-built for armored insertion into contested zones where heavy suppression is required and retreat is not an option. Its reinforced hull and adaptive suspension enable it to traverse varied terrains—from ruined urban landscapes to shattered wilderness—without sacrificing stability or target tracking. The tank’s core strength lies in its ability to sustain pressure while coordinating with infantry, air support, and artillery to shape the battlefield.
Firepower and systems Armed with a high-caliber main cannon and a suite of secondary options, the TD-110 offers flexibility in both anti-armor and anti-structure engagements. The main cannon delivers decisive impact against fortified positions, while rapid-fire secondary turrets provide continuous suppression against swarming units. Integrated targeting systems, heat-seeking guidance for guided munitions, and adaptive stabilization ensure accuracy even under kinetic stress.
Durability and survivability The MAELSTROM’s armor package is engineered to absorb sustained punishment, featuring modular plating and active protection systems that mitigate incoming damage from both conventional munitions and specialized ordnance. Onboard countermeasures help to disrupt enemy lock-ons, giving allied forces valuable moments to reposition or advance.
Crew and operations A small, specialized crew handles navigation, targeting, and damage control. The tank’s interface streamlines crew communication, enabling rapid, synchronized actions with support units. In the field, this coordination translates to tighter interdiction of enemy movements and more efficient exploitation of battlefield openings.
Tactical deployment and tips – Early deployment near chokepoints can maximize the MAELSTROM’s suppressive potential and disrupt enemy flanks. – Coordinate with infantry for bait-and-preak maneuvers to draw fire away from vulnerable positions while the tank secures objective points. – Utilize the tank’s secondary armament to clear clustered threats and provide continuous cover when advancing through open terrain. – Reserve main cannon fire for fortified structures or heavily armored targets to preserve ammunition for the most impactful exchanges.
Conclusion The TD-110 MAELSTROM tank redefines frontline tempo in HELLDIVERS 2. It is not merely a weapon of attrition, but a versatile orchestration platform that bridges brute force and strategic placement. For players seeking to anchor offensives, disrupt enemy lines, and drive decisive outcomes, the MAELSTROM offers a compelling blend of durability, firepower, and battlefield control.
